Here are the 16 rules that sorority girls must follow. Sorority Greek life is an acquired taste that is not for everyone and separates the willing and the unwilling who want to take part of the community. It seems that many are willing to trade in their freedoms for the privilege of being part of a sisterhood (or some might even label it a cult). That is not to say that all sororities engage in this behavior, but there are sacrifices members have to make to be part of the organization. Sororities have been known for hazing rituals that have demonstrated cruelty for aspiring new members. It is human nature to want to belong to a group and identify with like-minded people. Greek life is supposedly a lifetime commitment and the connections you make in a sorority are supposed to last forever. Barry Watson, Michael Rosenbaum, and Harland Williams are a trio of shallow fraternity boys who have the sexist attitudes so prevalent in college fraternities. Even Animal House looks like Hamlet by comparison. Sad to say the mix didn't benefit the film. In a way, Rush Week is like speed dating for sororities. Sorority Boys is a meeting of Animal House and Some Like It Hot. During Rush Week, potential new members meet and greet each of the different sororities and see where they would fit in. To join a sorority, you must undergo a recruitment process and impress members that hold leadership positions (aka "the sisters"). Everyone loves to hate sorority girls because there are so many stereotypes that surround them (and yes, some of them are true). Credit must be given to Harland Williams, Michael Rosenbaum and Barry Watson, who inject far more good-natured spirit and talent into this project than it deserves.Sororities are either a positive experience, where college freshmen can make friends, or a living nightmare for those who don't seem to fit in. "Sorority Boys" stoops to near-sighted shower pairings, tampon fights, wet T-shirts and a fencing match with sexual aids. The material is crashingly lame, relying on beautiful French women with excessive body hair, high heeled pratfalls and those house acronyms for too much of its humor. They all gain a newfound respect for the female of the species.
